Sister Mary Fidelis Anna Gagli, Hdr,@ 90
On 9th May 2020, Sister Mary Fidelis Anna Gagli, HDR, one of the pioneer members of Handmaids of the
Divine Redeemer (HDR) Congregation chalked 90 years. Sister was among the very first group of Postulants
who were received into the Novitiate of the Congregation by our Founder, the late Most Rev. Joseph
Oliver Bowers, SVD on 25th March, 1957 with Perpetua Cofie, Petrina Sesi and Martina Adams. They made
their first profession of vows on 6th April, 1959.Since then Sister Fidelis served with joy and
dedication where ever she was missioned, namely, Accra, Akyem Swedru, Akyem Ntronang, Nuaso, etc. In
some places she was popularly known as ‘AYEKOO, AYEKOO or as ME NUA ANAA’.
Presently Sister resides at Saints Ann and Joachim Convent in Agomanya.
The entire HDR family is grateful to God for sustaining Sister Fidelis till now and for her services as a pioneer member. We pray for God’s continuous blessings and good health for our ‘Nonagenarian’.
